Something Chocolate Can't Fix: About Lucas

Well, Hello there!

My name is Deja, my {HOT} husband Lucas and I want to share our journey through infertility and surrogacy, the ups the downs, all of it, with you! We are on this crazy ride for a reason and we figured we might as well take you along too. We officially began our surrogacy journey in January of 2012, although I've been dealing with infertility for nearly 8 year now. We completed our first round of IVF, using a gestational carrier, my little sister Ambree, on April 1, 2015. Of the 14 embryo were created using my eggs, and Lucas' sperm, 12 died off before we could transfer them. We transferred two very weak, tired, falling-apart embryo in late March. Lucas and I great to love these two little survivors right away, however, they didn't make it and we lost them before our first BETA (pregnancy test). We also discovered, through this process, that my eggs are bad (most likely due to severe endometreosis). We aren't ready to give up on our dream yet, and are still planning the next steps of our journey. Through it all, we hope our story can bring light to the struggle that is infertility, and hope and faith to those who might need it.
